Arenacross FAQ

Q: When did Arenacross start?
A: It started in the UK in 2013 with one event at The 02 Arena in London and 6,000 fans…. today, we sell out to over 60,000 fans in the UK’s leading city venues.

Q: How do you build an Arenacross track?
A: It takes over 5,000 tons of dirt to build the track. The dirt must be of a certain top quality and at a precise temperature. We bring in well over 150 lorry loads of dirt! That’s a lot!!

Q: How long does it take to build and exit the arena?
A: It usually takes 48 hours to build and 24 hours to breakdown an Arenacross track, but in exceptional circumstances, where we need to get out quickly, the crew has worked through the night and taken less than 12 hours to return the arena to its pristine condition, usually just in time for Strictly Come Dancing!

Q: What will we see?
A: The most explosive and fun form of indoor motorsports entertainment in the UK. With youngsters from the age of just 7 years old through to experienced professionals, all competing on the same track.

Q: Do I need to know about motocross to enjoy it?
A: No! You just need to know about having fun. An Arenacross night is like no other – it’s fast-paced and action-packed. Just sit back and enjoy the ride!

Q: Is this a family-friendly event?
A: It most certainly is. It’s fun, exhilarating and massively visual. It appeals to all age groups, and our hosts get everyone involved in the excitement.

Q: Where can I see Arenacross?
A: It’s a six-round, four-venue UK Tour that opens in Belfast in January at The SSE Arena for a Friday and Saturday night double-header before heading to Aberdeen – a new-to-Arenacross venue, the P&J Live for a Saturday night and Sunday matinee performance. The action continues with a trip to the West Midlands and The Resorts World Arena at Birmingham’s NEC for a single Saturday night, then it travels south to London for the Tour’s climax at The OVO Arena Wembley, again for a single Saturday night.

Q: Is each round the same?
A: The Show’s format is similar, but as it’s a live event packed with plenty of action and riders who will stop at nothing to win … every round is different. You can definitely attend more than one!

Q: How long is the show?
A; Arenacross productions vary in length. It’s a live show and anything can happen, so plan for around 2.5 – 3 hours, including a 15-20 minute intermission.

Q: What time shall I arrive at the venue?
A: The Arenacross Tour will be held over five nights and includes one matinee (at Aberdeen). VIP ticket holders can arrive from 5 pm. General admission doors open at 6 pm. The show starts at 7.30 pm. Doors open at 2.30 pm for the matinee at the P&J Live Arena.

Please note that times may change at some venues, so please check first.

Q: What can I do once I enter the Arena before the event starts?
A: Meet the riders and grab an autograph in the foyer (usually between 6.30 and 7.00 pm). Stock up on food, drink and merchandise and enjoy the overall convivial atmosphere of the event before finding your seats.

Q: How can I purchase tickets?
A: Events are listed here – arenacrossuk.com/venues. You can locate a show in your area and purchase tickets through the individual venue box offices.

Q: Do I need to purchase a ticket for my infant child, who will sit on my lap for the entire show?
A: In most arenas, children under the age of two are admitted free, provided they sit on a parent or guardian’s lap. Children aged two and over will require a ticket for all events. Check the ticketing page on the Venue of your choice. Arenacross is loud throughout, so please bear this in mind when bringing little ones – maybe bring some headphones just in case!

Q Is it a price ‘per seat’ rather than Child and Adult?
A: One seat fits all! The experience for a child will be as great as it is for an adult. If not better! We have differently priced Child, and Adult tickets for VIP Hospitality as children tend not to eat and drink as much as the grown-ups!

Q: Can a family ticket be purchased for 4 Adults?
A: No, this ticket is for 2 adults and 2 children under the age of 12.

Q: What can we expect if I book a VIP ticket?
A: Three VIP packages are available – Track Walk Meet & Greet, VIP Experience and Belfast VIP Experience. They all provide early access to the Arena, with an exclusive Track Walk, meet and greet session with riders and a private FMX show. In addition, the VIP Experience and Belfast VIP Experience packages include an exclusive seating area, food and drinks on arrival and a hospitality bar. For more details: VIP Experience packages.
