The European round of the Arenacross Tour originally scheduled for the 3rd of March at the Ethias Arena, Hasselt, Belgium has been delayed until November 2018.
The successful ArenacrossUK formula has continued to enjoy year-on-year growth with thousands of fans flocking to leading arenas up and down the country to revel in the fast-paced action and whole razzmatazz of the evening shows. As a championship, it has attracted the best motocross and supercross racers from Europe and beyond, whilst its Freestyle motocross athletes are nothing short of world class.
It was a logical step then for the promoter to look at growing the format and taking the popular setup to new overseas venues. However, despite the team’s best efforts, the events planned for Belgium and Germany have yet to reach a level that emulates the success of the UK events and the plan is now to regroup, refresh and rerun later in 2018.
Matt Bates of Arena Sports Live, the promoter of the AX Tour said; “It’s never a nice decision to have to make, and one fortunately we haven’t been faced with in the successful running of Arenacross in the UK since we started just five years ago. The fact is that we can’t stage an event with the hugely high production levels of Arenacross if the audience just isn’t there yet. All of the AX team are totally committed in taking the series overseas and, whilst this is a setback, it’s only temporary.”
Ticket holders for the Belgium round of the Arenacross Tour will be pleased to know that tickets are completely transferable to the new date. Should they have any questions, they are advised to contact the selling agent they originally purchased their tickets from.
